Cost & Pricing
What dental treatment costs here
We publish what we can honestly publish, and quote the rest in writing before anything begins. What we won’t do is give you a number at the front desk that changes once you’re in the chair.
How much is a check-up at Allura Dental in Truganina?
A check-up and clean at Allura Dental in Truganina costs $160 for existing patients — the examination and the clean. X-rays aren’t part of a routine visit: your dentist takes them only where there is a clinical reason, and explains why first. The comprehensive first visit is $199 — for new and existing patients, once in any 12-month period. Any other treatment is quoted in writing before it begins.
See check-up prices →Why the same treatment costs different amounts at different clinics
It’s a fair question, and the honest answer is that "a crown" isn’t one thing. Four factors move the price, and they’re worth understanding before you compare quotes anywhere.
Materials and lab
A crown milled from a premium ceramic by an Australian lab costs more than an imported alternative — and behaves differently over ten years. You’re entitled to ask which you’re being quoted.
Chair time
Unhurried appointments cost more to run than short ones. We’d rather take the time and charge accordingly than rush and redo.
Imaging and planning
On-site 3D imaging means we plan from your actual anatomy rather than an estimate. It’s built into the treatment, not billed as a surprise.
Complexity
Two people needing "a filling" can need genuinely different work. This is why almost everything below is a starting point, confirmed after we’ve looked.
Our commitment: you get a written treatment plan and quote before treatment begins — including the option of doing nothing for now, where that’s clinically reasonable. Nothing proceeds until you’ve agreed to it, and if something changes clinically we talk to you before it affects the cost.
Price guide
A guide, not a quote — your exact cost is confirmed after assessment. Where an item shows "priced after assessment", it’s because the honest range is too wide to publish a number that would mean anything.

Questions
About our pricing
How much does a dental check-up cost at Allura Dental?
At Allura Dental in Truganina, a check-up and clean costs $160 for existing patients, and the comprehensive first visit is $199 for new and existing patients, once in any 12-month period. Eligible children may be bulk-billed under Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Any other treatment is quoted in writing before it begins.
Why do some items say "priced after assessment" instead of a number?
Because for those treatments the honest range is too wide for a published figure to mean anything. Two people needing the same procedure can need genuinely different work. Rather than advertise a number we’d have to revise once we’ve looked, we assess first and give you the real cost in writing before anything begins.
Is a "from" price what I’ll actually pay?
It’s the honest starting point for a straightforward case — a real price someone actually pays, not bait. What moves it is complexity: how much tooth structure remains, which materials suit your case, how long it takes. We’ll tell you where your case sits, and why, before you commit.
Why does imaging cost more if I’m not already a patient?
Because the referral paperwork and administration sit outside an existing appointment. If you’re one of our patients, that handling is already part of your visit. If you’re coming to us only for a scan, the extra work is reflected in the price — we’d rather show you both figures than quietly average them.
How much do braces or clear aligners cost?
Traditional braces start $6,500 and clear aligners, including Invisalign, $6,000 — for a full case. Orthodontics is priced by case because how far your teeth need to move genuinely changes the work involved. You’ll get a written quote after a consultation and 3D scan, and orthodontics usually sits under a separate health fund limit from general dental.
What will I pay for an emergency appointment?
An emergency visit covers the consultation and the diagnosis needed to find out what’s wrong — usually including X-rays. Any treatment beyond that is quoted before we proceed. If you’re in pain, call us as early in the day as you can and we’ll tell you what to expect before you come in.
Will my health fund cover this?
That depends entirely on your fund and your level of dental cover — every policy is different, and annual limits reset. Bring your card and we’ll check your entitlement on the spot, then confirm any out-of-pocket cost before treatment begins. If you’d prefer to check first, we can give you a written treatment plan with item numbers to take to your fund.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — interest-free payment plans are available at Allura Dental in Truganina so the cost of larger treatment can be spread over time. The plan is with an external payment plan provider, which sets approval, any fees and the repayment terms — not us. Interest-free is not fee-free, so ask for the total rather than the instalment, and you’ll have the full cost in writing before anything starts.
